OGE Announces Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking: Legal Expense Funds
April 15, 2019

The U.S. Office of Government Ethics seeks public comment on whether to develop a regulation for legal expense funds that benefit executive branch employees. The public is invited to comment until June 14, 2019. OGE will also hold a virtual public hearing to gather comments on May 22, 2019. Instructions for submitting comments and participating in the public hearing can be found here: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2019/04/15/2019-07390/notice-and-request-for-comments-legal-expense-fund-regulation.

To facilitate transparency, on its rulemaking activities, OGE has created a website to help citizens follow the rulemaking process and participate in calls for public comment. The website can be found here: https://www.oge.gov/Web/oge.nsf/Resources/Rulemaking

Media questions should be directed to OGE’s press liaison, Elizabeth Horton, at 202-482-9211.
