OGE Joins the Nation in Mourning the Passing of President Carter

President Carter signed the Ethics in Government Act, creating the executive branch ethics program.

In a letter regarding the newly passed Ethics in Government Act, President Carter wrote, “Last year we worked closely with Congress to pass The Ethics in Government Act, which sets important ethical standards for Federal employees...there should be no doubt that the intent of the Act will be fulfilled, and the public confidence in the conduct of government affairs will rest on a firmer foundation.”  Read the full letter here: https://www.oge.gov/web/OGE.nsf/0/6B4D1A351D14FB428525895D005CE5AF/$FILE/note%20from%20carter.pdf
