The Office of Government Ethics (OGE) has updated its Compilation of Federal Ethics Laws, a key resource for practitioners and others interested in Executive Branch ethics. The federal ethics laws are designed to prevent financial conflicts of interest and ensure that public servants make impartial decisions based on the interests of the public when performing their job duties. This compilation includes not only the laws within the jurisdiction of the ethics program, but also other related laws on which ethics officials are often called upon to provide advice to agency employees. This updated compilation includes all provisions signed into law through the end of the 113th Congress.
OGE has also published a Legal Advisory highlighting ethics-related legislative activity from the 113th Congress. The Legal Advisory focuses on notable provisions of broad interest to the executive branch ethics program.
